Architectural CAD Projects: Construction Sample Work
Architectural CAD projects and construction work we produce: 2D documentation from architect sketches, multi-trade coordination, MEP drawings, and CAD conversion from paper or PDF originals.
2D Documentation from Sketch
Architect’s design intent sketches developed into council-issue drawings: site plan, floor plans, RCP, elevations, sections.
Multi-Trade Coordination
Federated coordination drawings showing structural, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire service routing. Clash detection logs.
MEP Drawings
Mechanical (HVAC duct and pipe), electrical (lighting, power, comms), hydraulic (water, waste, gas), fire (sprinkler, hydrant) drawings to NCC.
CAD Conversion
Paper drawings and PDFs converted to scaled, layered, editable CAD with proper line weights, text styles, and dim styles.
Detail Drawings
Wall types, junction details, waterproofing details, fire-rated assemblies — referencing NCC and AS3700 where applicable.
BIM Modelling
Revit, ArchiCAD, AECOSim. LOD 200 to LOD 400 modelling with sheet set release.
How These Architectural CAD Projects Are Built
The architectural CAD projects shown here follow drawing-office discipline that survives handover: sheets are set up to AS 1100 conventions with consistent title blocks and revision control, layers follow a published standard rather than personal habit, and xref structures are kept clean so consultant drawings drop in without exploding the file. Coordination samples show clash markups resolved on the drawing, not just flagged; MEP sheets keep services legible over an architectural underlay screened to the right weight; and conversion work is manually vectorised, so text is text and walls are polylines — not the traced spaghetti automated converters produce. Deliverables are native DWG plus PDF as standard, with IFC available where a BIM workflow sits downstream. On multi-consultant jobs we adopt the lead consultant’s layer and naming standard rather than imposing our own, which keeps the combined drawing set coherent when files from several offices merge — the quiet discipline that separates architectural CAD projects that assemble cleanly from ones that need a coordination meeting per sheet.
